The
Oracle is created to share information regarding readings about the Divine Feminine.
It's also to bring encouragement to women of all ages that
are seeking to define themselves or their daughters in another
paradigm other than a patriarchal one. Over time, The Oracle
will be a place to share our thoughts and suggestions about
subjects regarding the Divine Feminine (which may be inclusive
of everything!) |

The Divine Feminine
has been with us forever, a simple yet profound acknowledgement
of her presence that is universal. In every ancient culture
there has been a Divine Feminine, a creatrix, a provider, a
nurturer that has predated the contemporary male divinity.
She is associated with the most archaic and mystery shrouded
deities and intimately linked to Earth's creation. It is remarkable
that despite political turmoil, acculturation and societal
restrictions Her image and influence remain a force in our
lives. She has been reinterpreted, usurped, and marginalized
as major religions succumb to exclusively male controlled dominance.
In these contexts She has been acknowledged as the creator
of life but now relegated as merely the vessel, a container
to be filled and divinely inspired by a male god. |

While reading the
ancient cross-cultural accounts of creation stories you see
Her there as the sacred waters, the mists, the sun and the
moon, the Earth itself. You see Her everywhere as the Great
Mother who greets you upon your arrival at birth and the Crone
who ferries you back to the Earth's womb at your death. |

I often asked myself
why, philosophically, did She lose Her status in contemporary
religions and world affairs. I've explored many theories about
political upheavals, dominating and encroaching cultures that
overthrew more peaceful ones, or the exclusive and presumptuous
thought that Life as we know it had to have evolved from "God
the Father" and no one else possessed the omnipotence to be
a creator! I always returned however to seeking Her out. Life
had to be a balance for me and not one dominating presence
over another. Despite all the scholarly debate explaining her
away, my discussions with other women and men over the past
40 years supported by intrinsic common sense that She must
be there waiting to be brought forward and acknowledged once
again. I didn't need to wait for opposing viewpoints to change,
I simply needed to make Her manifest in my own Life and share
this knowledge, this celebration of the Divine Feminine with
others who wished to acknowledge Her. To that end, here is
a humble beginning list for those of you who wish to explore
Her testimony and presence. |
